Goralnick’s Neo-classical Loft Design

THE PROJECT Barry Goralnick brought his signature flair to a grand Upper West Side gem, transforming a 1908 classic into a modern-day masterpiece over two years. Goralnick reimagined the once-compartmentalized space into an elegant open layout that honors the building’s historic roots. Strategic choices—like custom millwork that hides modern infrastructure—balanced form and function, while original and replicated architectural details were set against a serene neutral palette, allowing Central Park views to shine. Custom stained glass and nuanced color schemes in the bedroom and library add layers of personality, giving the home its uniquely refined charm.
